1 Nephi 21:22 - 21:26
1 Nephi 21:22 Thus saith the Lord God: Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people; and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.
The Lord has heard their cries just as He did when the children of Israel were enslaved in Egypt. In those days, the Egyptians refused to let the them leave to return to their land of promise. This time, however, some of the nations that the children of Israel live among will now support their desire to return to their home land. These gentile nations will restore the land to the house of Israel and they will become a nation again. The Lord will use the gentiles to accomplish is as Israel will not be able to do it on their own. The Lord will show them and us that He can get anyone He wants to accomplish his purposes.
1 Nephi 21:23 And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers; they shall bow down to thee with their face towards the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord; for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.
The rulers of the gentile nations will not only support the establishment of Israel but will support them against their enemies. And because of the knowledge of the prophecies in the Bible about the return of the Jews to Palestine, the Jews will be reverenced and supported by very zealous people who think that this restoration will be about the second coming.
1 Nephi 21:24 For shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captives delivered?
World events will show that the Lord is behind this restoration. The world will know that the Lord is the author of the events that lead to the returning of the Jews to Palestine.
1 Nephi 21:25 But thus saith the Lord, even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered; for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.
The Lord will be directly involved in the Jews returning to Palestine. He will bring them from various parts of the world where they live to their promised land. The Lord himself will fight against those who vex the Jewish state. The Lord will reserved this restored land against all enemies.
1 Nephi 21:26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; they shall be drunken with their own blood as with sweet wine; and all flesh shall know that I, the Lord, am thy Savior and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
As with all those who want to war with their neighbors, the enemies of the Jews will fight against themselves just as the Lamanites did against themselves after the destruction of the Nephites. Because of the preservation of the Jews against all their enemies who outnumber them in vast numbers, the world shall know that the Lord is behind this restoration of the Jews to Palestine.
