1 Nephi 22:21 - 22:25

1 Nephi 22:21 And now I, Nephi, declare unto you, that this prophet of whom Moses spake was the Holy One of Israel; wherefore, he shall execute judgment in righteousness.

This prophet will be the messiah. And He will be the judge of the people and his judgments will be to everyones satisfaction. No one will complain that they have been judged falsely.

This is a rather interesting concept to me. We sometimes think of the final judgement being given a reward that is not very pleasant such as inheriting a kingdom of a lessor glory. But it seems clear to me the above scripture tells us that the Lord will give us just exactly what we want. Some just do not want the responsibility that the higher kingdoms have to offer. There are many who are content with less knowledge and powers that is available to them if they would exercise control over their behavior.

1 Nephi 22:22 And the righteous need not fear, for they are those who shall not be confounded. But it is the kingdom of the devil, which shall be built up among the children of men, which kingdom is established among them which are in the flesh—

The righteous need not fear this judgment. They will be overjoyed with their reward. It is those who have been influenced by satan that have need to fear. All that he has put into place will be of no worth among the children of men, whether it be governments, or organizations that are supposed to help people but are really fronts of the devil.

1 Nephi 22:23 For the time speedily shall come that all churches which are built up to get gain, and all those who are built up to get power over the flesh, and those who are built up to become popular in the eyes of the world, and those who seek the lusts of the flesh and the things of the world, and to do all manner of iniquity; yea, in fine, all those who belong to the kingdom of the devil are they who need fear, and tremble, and quake; they are those who must be brought low in the dust; they are those who must be consumed as stubble; and this is according to the words of the prophet.

So any group or organization that created to get gain, or to have power over others, or who want to be popular with the people, or who want only to satisfy their lustful desires will be destroyed. They are inspired by satan and will fall. The kingdom of God runs on a whole different set of motivations.

God is not trying to get gain. He already owns everything. His is not trying to get power over his children. He is trying to help them learn ways that will make them truly happy. He is not trying to be popular with His children, only trying to show them what will make them happy and what will not.

Therefore those who trying save people by means other than the gospel plan will fail and find out that their ways do not work even those who think they are benevolent in their motivations.

1 Nephi 22:24 And the time cometh speedily that the righteous must be led up as calves of the stall, and the Holy One of Israel must reign in dominion, and might, and power, and great glory.

It is not to far distant that the righteous will be lead to be with the Lord and to be under His guidance. He will be their guide and rule over them with great power which they in turn will learn from Him and eventually have these same gifts. It is the master teaching his students so they to one day will be masters.

1 Nephi 22:25 And he gathereth his children from the four quarters of the earth; and he numbereth his sheep, and they know him; and there shall be one fold and one shepherd; and he shall feed his sheep, and in him they shall find pasture.

It will be liken to a hen gathering her chicks or a herdsman bring together his flock from all parts of the field. They will all be under one shepherd regardless of whose herd they may have been a member of.
