2 Nephi 8:6 - 8:10

2 Nephi 8:6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath; for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment; and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner. But my salvation shall be forever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.

Look around you and what you see in your environment will be changed when the Lord comes to rule and reign. The earth will be changed into a Terrestrial orb and they who live in this new environment will be Terrestrial beings and enjoy salvation and righteous all the days of their lives on this changed earth and into the eternity as well. This righteous environment will not ever degenerate into wickedness as it has so many times on this Telestial planet.

2 Nephi 8:7 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart I have written my law, fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.

Therefore to those who have recognized His hand in the events of this world should not fear what man can do. Even if they seem horrible and scary, they are just children who can be corrected with little effort by the Lord.

2 Nephi 8:8 For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool. But my righteousness shall be forever, and my salvation from generation to generation.

The wicked will be destroyed like a moth eating up your woolen garments in your closet. But the garments of the Lord will be unaffected by all such pests.

2 Nephi 8:9 Awake, awake! Put on strength, O arm of the Lord; awake as in the ancient days. Art thou not he that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?

With all this power available to Israel in all ages of time, use it. Are we not the same people that have conquered peoples and taken various lands when commanded by the Lord. We have no need to fear anyone or anything.

2 Nephi 8:10 Art thou not he who hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?

Think of the parting of the Red Sea by Moses. Did not the children of Israel cross over dry land to the other side? Was that not a manifestation of the power the Lord has which is available to man when needed.
