2 Nephi 14:1 - 14:6

2 Nephi 14:1 And in that day, seven women shall take hold of one man, saying: We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel; only let us be called by thy name to take away our reproach.

In the millennium, there will be more righteous women than men. The women will then ask to be the wives even thought they will have to share their husband. They do not want to be left out of being able to have children during this time. They will care for themselves if they can only take the name of their husbands.

2 Nephi 14:2 In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious; the fruit of the earth excellent and comely to them that are escaped of Israel.

During those millennial years, everything will be peaceful and beautiful to look upon. The earth will bring forth food and beauty in great abundance to those who manage to survive the destruction at the beginning of the millennium.

2 Nephi 14:3 And it shall come to pass, they that are left in Zion and remain in Jerusalem shall be called holy, every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem—

They who are still alive will be the more righteous. They shall be made clean by their efforts and begin the process to build up the church.

2 Nephi 14:4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment and by the spirit of burning.

They will be made clean from their sins and the blood of the atonement will cleanse them. The inhabitance will have a new start and the spirit of the Lord will become their guiding light instead of the devil.

2 Nephi 14:5 And the Lord will create upon every dwelling-place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night; for upon all the glory of Zion shall be a defence.

A Temple will be built and be a symbol like in the days of Moses when smoke by day and a pillar of fire by night let the children of Israel know that the Lord was watching over them.

2 Nephi 14:6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and a covert from storm and from rain.

The Temple will protect them from the forces of nature and be a protection from the hatred of man.
