2 Nephi 9:31 - 9:35

31 And wo unto the deaf that will not hear; for they shall perish.

To those who will not even listen to the gospel, they are in trouble.

32 Wo unto the blind that will not see; for they shall perish also.

To those who will not even look to see if the gospel will help them are in trouble.

33 Wo unto the uncircumcised of heart, for a knowledge of their iniquities shall smite them at the last day.

To those whose heart is harden and are only concerned with their own comfort, they see that it did not provide lasting happiness and many people suffered because they did not help. They will see to their dismay who they could have been of assistance, but did nothing.

34 Wo unto the liar, for he shall be thrust down to hell.

To those who lied to get the worthless things of this world, they will go where other liars go and enjoy the association of others whose word cannot be relied on and feel the same uneasiness of not knowing for sure what is true because everyone is out for himself and will lie to get what he wants.

35 Wo unto the murderer who deliberately killeth, for he shall die.

To whose who murder for advancement of their wants or needs will suffer in hell. (It is interesting that Jacob uses the phrase ‘deliberately killeth’ and not just kill. He is trying to show us that killing in time of war or to protect our families is not deliberately killing).
