1 Nephi 14:2 - 14:6

1 Nephi 14:2 And harden not their hearts against the Lamb of God, they shall be numbered among the seed of thy father; yea, they shall be numbered among the house of Israel; and they shall be a blessed people upon the promised land forever; they shall be no more brought down into captivity; and the house of Israel shall no more be confounded.

These restored doctrines will bring great peace to the hearts of those who unite with the Church. They who live in the American’s will enjoy the blessings of not being under the domination of foreign powers.

1 Nephi 14:3 And that great pit, which hath been digged for them by that great and abominable church, which was founded by the devil and his children, that he might lead away the souls of men down to hell—yea, that great pit which hath been digged for the destruction of men shall be filled by those who digged it, unto their utter destruction, saith the Lamb of God; not the destruction of the soul, save it be the casting of it into that hell which hath no end.

And that the doctrines of other groups will not be able to stand up against the Gospel of Jesus Christ anymore. They will be known for what they are, namely doctrines of satan in his efforts to lead men stray. For those who create these false doctrines (whether they consider them as such or not) will find themselves in despair trying to keep up their arguments concerning their own precepts. They will find that they do not work. The results of their efforts to get men into their camp will be that they themselves will now be suffering the despair they thought they were relieving with their own doctrines

1 Nephi 14:4 For behold, this is according to the captivity of the devil, and also according to the justice of God, upon all those who will work wickedness and abomination before him.

This is the result of following satan's lead. The gospel gives people the real path to true happiness while satan gives people the path that leads to misery and a dead end. If this is your desire, God will give you just what you want. If you like satan’s ways, God will let you follow him. But if, as it almost always happens that after so long, people realize that his path leads to suffering. They begin to wonder again, there has to be a better way. When they wake up, God is there to show the right way.

1 Nephi 14:5 And it came to pass that the angel spake unto me, Nephi, saying: Thou hast beheld that if the Gentiles repent it shall be well with them; and thou also knowest concerning the covenants of the Lord unto the house of Israel; and thou also hast heard that whoso repenteth not must perish.

Nephi sees that those who wake up and see the devil for what he is and that he cannot lead them to true happiness, repent and find God. They are not eternally trap in his grasp. It doesn’t matter who it is that is in this mess. You can be a gentile or of the house of Israel. You repent and you can get out. If you do not, you are satan’s pond. Your birth has nothing to do with you fate. If you repent, you’re saved. If you refuse, you are not. It doesn't matter who your papa was.

1 Nephi 14:6 Therefore, wo be unto the Gentiles if it so be that they harden their hearts against the Lamb of God.

So do not turn your back on Jesus when he comes to beckon you back to him. If you say you don’t need him, you’ve got your life under control, he will give you your head and you will fail. Only he has the methodology to get you the real happiness you seek. It does require work and effort, but it will give eternal dividends.
