2 Nephi 19:11 - 19:15

2 Nephi 19:11 Therefore the Lord shall set up the adversaries of Rezin against him, and join his enemies together;

But the Syrians, who Ephraim thinks will help protect them from the Assyrians, will be destroyed by their enemies. They will fall victim to the desire for domination of all peoples by the Assyrians as will Ephraim.

2 Nephi 19:12 The Syrians before and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

In spite of all their enemies that surround them, Ephraim can still redeem herself if he will repent and return to the Jehovah. He has not given up on them yet.

2 Nephi 19:13 For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the Lord of Hosts.

But He knows they will not repent. They will not seek His help so they will be destroyed.

2 Nephi 19:14 Therefore will the Lord cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush in one day.

Jehovah will allow of the death of their king and the lost of prophets. This all will occur in just one day of battle.

2 Nephi 19:15 The ancient, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.

The king that listens to false prophets and the false prophets will die in the attaches by Assyrians.
