2 Nephi 27:26 - 27:30
2 Nephi 27:26 Therefore, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, yea, a marvelous work and a wonder, for the wisdom of their wise and learned shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent shall be hid.
So during this period of false doctrines, God will now reveal the incorrect man made concepts about Him in a truly miraculous way by giving us addition scripture. Since it appears the God has not revealed Himself for almost two thousand years, it will seem like a miracle that He has given us more scripture in our day.
2 Nephi 27:27 And wo unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the Lord! And their works are in the dark; and they say: Who seeth us, and who knoweth us? And they also say: Surely, your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter’s clay. But behold, I will show unto them, saith the Lord of Hosts, that I know all their works. For shall the work say of him that made it, he made me not? Or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, he had no understanding?
A warning to those who will resist the coming forth of the book. It will be evident to the people truly looking for the truth that it is from God. The established interpretations of our day will be put down because any honest person can see that the precepts of man are different then that which comes from God. The false teachers cannot say that their interpretations are correct and what is in the Book of Mormon is not of God. The truth seekers will see the difference and know it is of God while the teachings of the churches are the authored by men.
2 Nephi 27:28 But behold, saith the Lord of Hosts: I will show unto the children of men that it is yet a very little while and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field; and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest.
The coming forth of the book will show that the earth is not on its own and the Lord will turn things around and make earth a place of peace and serenity. The truth will again be available to all who seek for it.
2 Nephi 27:29 And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness.
The book will reveal the true religion to all who are earnestly seeking it. It will show the true concept of God and what He desires for us, not the false teaching of men that seem not to satisfy the honest seeker of truth.
2 Nephi 27:30 And the meek also shall increase, and their joy shall be in the Lord, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
Those who find the truth in the book will at last rejoice to know their search is over. They will have a true knowledge of who the Lord is and how He can help us to achieve the happiness and peace we seek.
