2 Nephi 1:11 - 1:15
2 Nephi 1:11 Yea, he will bring other nations unto them, and he will give unto them power, and he will take away from them the lands of their possessions, and he will cause them to be scattered and smitten.
Anyway when the above knowledge is lost, then the Lord will bring other peoples to this land. They will be given power to overcome the people here. They will be driven from their lands and many will die because of disease and war will be made on them.
2 Nephi 1:12 Yea, as one generation passeth to another there shall be bloodsheds, and great visitations among them; wherefore, my sons, I would that ye would remember; yea, I would that ye would hearken unto my words.
All these things will happen from one generation to another. Lehi wants his children to remember what he is telling them. I guess he wishes that they would keep the commandments so that their descendents would avoid these calamities, but I guessing that he has little hope of this.
2 Nephi 1:13 O that ye would awake; awake from a deep sleep, yea, even from the sleep of hell, and shake off the awful chains by which ye are bound, which are the chains which bind the children of men, that they are carried away captive down to the eternal gulf of misery and woe.
Lehi tells his sons, the rebellious ones particularly, to realize that they are in grave danger of being cast off from the influence of the Lord. They need to realize that if they turn their backs on the Lord they will be on their own and the destructions that Lehi has prophesied will come upon them. They then will be in satan influence and will be unable to escape from the dome that will come to those who follow him.
2 Nephi 1:14 Awake! and arise from the dust, and hear the words of a trembling parent, whose limbs ye must soon lay down in the cold and silent grave, from whence no traveler can return; a few more days and I go the way of all the earth.
Lehi is close to death and on his death bed is trying to get his rebellious boys to listen to him. He will not come back to encourage them again. There will be no more communication from him to them. They will never see him again as a mortal.
2 Nephi 1:15 But behold, the Lord hath redeemed my soul from hell; I have beheld his glory, and I am encircled about eternally in the arms of his love.
Lehi is now knows his soul will be redeemed. He is feeling the arms of a loving God because of his faithfulness to Him.
