1 Nephi 22:26 - 22:31

1 Nephi 22:26 And because of the righteousness of his people, Satan has no power; wherefore, he cannot be loosed for the space of many years; for he hath no power over the hearts of the people, for they dwell in righteousness, and the Holy One of Israel reigneth.

At this time, satan will have no power over us. We will not give him any heed and he will be locked up somewhere. The Lord will reign over us and we will love the environment so much that we will abhor from doing anything evil.

1 Nephi 22:27 And now behold, I, Nephi, say unto you that all these things must come according to the flesh.

Nephi tells his brothers that that all of the above must happen as mortals. This will take place as people are alive on this world.

1 Nephi 22:28 But, behold, all nations, kindreds, tongues, and people shall dwell safely in the Holy One of Israel if it so be that they will repent.

This applies to all nations, tribes, and people who speak different languages if they will repent. If not they will be with satan.

1 Nephi 22:29 And now I, Nephi, make an end; for I durst not speak further as yet concerning these things.

Nephi wants to give more details, but feels that he should not. Wonder why he can’t go into more detail? Is it that we are not ready for this information or that we could not understand even if told? Or that we would be held accountable if we knew and did not follow instructions. Or there are not words that will adequately explain so that we could understand what Nephi was referring too.

1 Nephi 22:30 Wherefore, my brethren, I would that ye should consider that the things which have been written upon the plates of brass are true; and they testify that a man must be obedient to the commandments of God.

Nephi therefore his brethren and us that the things recorded on the plates which he has included in his record is true and that we should pay attention to admonitions given thereon.

1 Nephi 22:31 31 Wherefore, ye need not suppose that I and my father are the only ones that have testified, and also taught them. Wherefore, if ye shall be obedient to the commandments, and endure to the end, ye shall be saved at the last day. And thus it is. Amen.

And Nephi tell us, in addition, that he and his father are not the only ones to talk about these things. Others as recorded on the brass plates have also witnessed of the things Nephi has talked about. His brothers do not have to just rely on his words only. He is not the first nor will he be the last. Pay attention to his and these others who has testified of the gospel and repent before it is too late.
