1 Nephi 21:7 - 21:11
1 Nephi 21:7 Thus saith the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel, his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nations abhorreth, to servant of rulers: Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the Lord that is faithful.
Because of the work of this servant, nations will arise that will further this work of restoration. Their leaders will be principle players like Cyrus of old to bring about the Lord’s desires.
1 Nephi 21:8 Thus saith the Lord: In an acceptable time have I heard thee, O isles of the sea, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee; and I will preserve thee, and give thee my servant for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;
In due time or at some time in the future the Lord will hear the desires of the people for the truth and will bring it to them. Much like the religious revival that was all around Joseph Smith in New York in the very early 1800’s. The Lord heard these desires and brought them Joseph Smith to re-establish the gospel again to the earth.
1 Nephi 21:9 That thou mayest say to the prisoners: Go forth; to them that sit in darkness: Show yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.
This re-establishment will be compared to liberating prisoners from a dark prison. The prison being ignorance of the gospel and liberation being like coming into the light of day. They will be like animals that are taken to the high pastures to feed off the new grass.
1 Nephi 21:10 They shall not hunger nor thirst, neither shall the heat nor the sun smite them; for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
These will not longer be hungry for the words of the Lord nor will be a denied access to more doctrine if wanted. They will not be effected by the persecution of the unbeliever nor will they be abandoned by the Lord anymore. The Lord will be their constant guide and companion through all sorts of trials.
1 Nephi 21:11 And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.
All sorts of avenues will be opened for the gospel to spread all over the world. We can see this through television, radio. Internet and the printed word.
