2 Nephi 20:21 - 20:25
2 Nephi 20:21 The remnant shall return, yea, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.
And Israel will come back to the Lord who has been so patience with them for so many years.
2 Nephi 20:22 For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return; the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.
They will be great in numbers and living in all countries of the world, but they will learn of the Lord and except the gospel in great numbers.
2 Nephi 20:23 For the Lord God of Hosts shall make a consumption, even determined in all the land.
The Lord has planned it to happen in a certain way and it will come to pass regardless of where Israel may have been scattered too in the world.
2 Nephi 20:24 Therefore, thus saith the Lord God of Hosts: O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian; he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.
Isaiah tells the Israel (and us in our time) to not fear Assyrians or any enemy that we may have. They will seem invincible for a time and a they have been a power for many years.
2 Nephi 20:25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.
But they all will be destroyed when it is time for their demise. The Lord will determine this himself.
