2 Nephi 19:6 - 19:10
2 Nephi 19:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called, Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Nor will the dead have to worry about their salvation. The Messiah will come to earth as a man to save us in our sins. He will have many titles such as Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace.
2 Nephi 19:7 Of the increase of government and peace there is no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of Hosts will perform this.
The Messiah’s leadership will produce a righteous government, a kingdom of order where everyone is satisfied with their lot. Their will complete justice for all who except is rule. The love of the Lord for us, will be his motivation to finally setup a government that we will all feel that is just and right.
2 Nephi 19:8 The Lord sent his word unto Jacob and it hath lighted upon Israel.
The details of all these goings on will come through the righteous descendants of Jacob to all of the house of Israel. In other words the righteous folks in the southern kingdom of Judah will be trying to warn the northern kingdom of Israel of their impending destruction. (This will also be the same scenario in the latter days.)
2 Nephi 19:9 And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart:
Ephraim will think they can stave off the Assyrians and have power to conquer them.
2 Nephi 19:10 The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones; the sycamores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.
They will think they can defeat them and not worry about losing their country.
