Mosiah 14:6 - 14:12

Mosiah 14:6 All we, like sheep, have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquities of us all.

We are all fallen souls and have committed sins of various sorts throughout our lives here on earth. So all collective sins have been put upon Him to suffer so that we don't have to if we repent.

Mosiah 14:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb so he opened not his mouth.

He never once complained about the injustices He suffered. He knew His mission and did it willing without resisting. He did not rail against His accusers and kept His month closed to those who wanted Him to answer their false accusations.

Mosiah 14:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment; and who shall declare his generation? For he was cut off out of the land of the living; for the transgressions of my people was he stricken.

He was judged falsely and accused by His people of being evil. For this He was killed and His death allowed Him to suffer for the sins of the people.

Mosiah 14:9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no evil, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

He was buried in a rich man’s grave and was died among the wicked, but He had done no evil and never said anything that was slanderous.

Mosiah 14:10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief; when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

Heaven Father allowed this to happen to His son. This so all His children would have a chance for eternal life. So that we all could live with Him again.

Mosiah 14:11 He shall see the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied; by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

We all shall see what He went through for us. We will all feel good about the events that brought salvation to us all.

Mosiah 14:12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death; and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bore the sins of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

The Messiah will suffer for us all and enjoy the fruits of the resurrection as us all. Even thought He was thought a sinner like us all He will die for us and provide salvation for all us sinners.
