2 Nephi 13:16 - 13:20

2 Nephi 13:16 Moreover, the Lord saith: Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched-forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet—

The women who are rich are displaying their riches for all to see. They continuously look for more riches to adorn themselves with; the latest fashions and the like.

2 Nephi 13:17 Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the Lord will discover their secret parts.

The Lord will exposed the women’s vanity and they will be ashamed when all can see that their desire for fashion and jewelry is the desire to show they are better than anyone else because of their wealth.

2 Nephi 13:18 In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments, and cauls, and round tires like the moon;

But the Lord will not allow this condition to stand. The decadence will be taken from them. They will not longer have wealth to define who they are.

2 Nephi 13:19 The chains and the bracelets, and the mufflers;

They will lose their gold chains around their necks and legs.

2 Nephi 13:20 The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the ear-rings;

They will lose their ornate hats and headbands. Their body jewelry will be lost to them.
