2 Nephi 23:11 - 23:15

2 Nephi 23:11 And I will punish the world for evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay down the haughtiness of the terrible.

The people of the world will be shown just how evil they have behaved. Those who think they did not need God in their lives will see just how wrong they were. Those who tried to rule by force over the people for their own pleasure will see their power destroyed and be sad because they have been reduced to nothing.

2 Nephi 23:12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.

Good men will now be seen by the wicked as a better men than they have been. They will see that goodness is more valuable than money.

2 Nephi 23:13 Therefore, I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of Hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

There will be all sorts of signs to show that the Lord is really in charge not the evil men of the world. His goodness will scare evil men to death and they will fear to be in His presence.

2 Nephi 23:14 And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up; and they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land.

All the evil will try to return to that which they think will save them such as their home lands or things which they thought would keep them from judgment by the Lord.

2 Nephi 23:15 Every one that is proud shall be thrust through; yea, and every one that is joined to the wicked shall fall by the sword.

But there will be no safe haven for the wicked. They will fall into their own traps for the good people and become victims of their own arrogance.
