2 Nephi 23:6 - 23:10

2 Nephi 23:6 Howl ye, for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

It is almost time for these events to take place. The world should be afraid because of the warnings of the Lord and the signs of the times.

2 Nephi 23:7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, every man’s heart shall melt;

The signs will frighten all who see them. Even the most evil will begin to see that it is almost over for him.

2 Nephi 23:8 And they shall be afraid; pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

All the wicked will be destroyed and they will then see just how wicked and blind they have been in face of all the signs given to them concerning their evil ways.

2 Nephi 23:9 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate; and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

The land will be wiped clean of all evil. The land will be free of evil and the sinners will be no more.

2 Nephi 23:10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light; the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

Because of the clouds of destruction, their will be no light from the sun, moon or the stairs at night.
