2 Nephi 24:11 - 24:15

2 Nephi 24:11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave; the noise of thy viols is not heard; the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.

The power of the rulers displayed by traditions and ceremonies will be put away. There will be only the ruling government of the Lord which has no show of pomp or ceremonies. Governing is without notice or force. All will obey because it is the best to follow the Lord. Men in this world have no clue on how it is to be done.

2 Nephi 24:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! Art thou cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations!

The stirring up of men to want to rule over their fellows was put into place by satan. When he was thrown out of heaven because of his rebellion, he was place on earth. Here he tried to get who ever would listen to him to try to rule over their fellows with coercion and fear.

2 Nephi 24:13 For thou hast said in thy heart: I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north;

Satan wanted to rule in heaven and tried to get others to back his play. He thought he could talked all into his plan and replace our Father in Heaven.

2 Nephi 24:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High.

He wanted to have all the honor that God received from his children. He wanted to be like God and rule over the children of men.

2 Nephi 24:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

However his plans were destroyed and he was cast out to the earth and now tries to rule on the earth.
