2 Nephi 24:21 - 24:25

2 Nephi 24:21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquities of their fathers, that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.

Their living descendants will suffer the same fate as their evil fathers. They will not be able to take advantage of what their evil fathers did to have power and influence which they tried to create for themselves and their descendants.

2 Nephi 24:22 For I will rise up against them, saith the Lord of Hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the Lord.

The Lord will not let these descendants have possession of the land that their evil fathers ruled over. They will go down with their fathers.

2 Nephi 24:23 I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water; and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith the Lord of Hosts.

All the land will not be give food or shelter to any wicked persons. The land will become inhabitable to the wicked.

2 Nephi 24:24 The Lord of Hosts hath sworn, saying: Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand—

All these things will happen as the Lord has prophesied. And if He prophesied, it will happen.

2 Nephi 24:25 That I will bring the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot; then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.

Just as the Lord used Assyria to destroy Ephraim, he will use similar methods to destroy the wicked of the entire earth in the latter-days.
