Mosiah 24:16 - 24:20

Mosiah 24:16 And it came to pass that so great was their faith and their patience that the voice of the Lord came unto them again, saying: Be of good comfort, for on the morrow I will deliver you out of bondage.

They passed their test so well that the Lord came to them and told them deliverance would be tomorrow.
[Notice that He did not tell them it would be in few weeks or give them an exact date, but to be patience and they would be delivered. Again the lesson is to endure, the Lord will give us strength to endure the increased burden and He will deliver us when the time is right for us and for those who are purposely putting these unrighteous burdens upon us.]

Mosiah 24:17 And he said unto Alma: Thou shalt go before this people, and I will go with thee and deliver this people out of bondage.

The Lord said to Alma He will deliver them personally from the bondage of Amulon and his Lamanite partners.

Mosiah 24:18 Now it came to pass that Alma and his people in the night-time gathered their flocks together, and also of their grain; yea, even all the night-time were they gathering their flocks together.

So under the cover of darkness they gather up their food stuffs, and livestock.

Mosiah 24:19 And in the morning the Lord caused a deep sleep to come upon the Lamanites, yea, and all their task-masters were in a profound sleep.

When the guards went to sleep, it Lord made it so that they could not wake up for sometime.

Mosiah 24:20 And Alma and his people departed into the wilderness; and when they had traveled all day they pitched their tents in a valley, and they called the valley Alma, because he led their way in the wilderness.

They made their way into the wilderness, traveling all that day. They stopped in a valley which they named Alma because he was their leader.
