2 Nephi 28:21 - 28:25

2 Nephi 28:21 And others will he pacify, and lull them away into carnal security, that they will say: All is well in Zion; yea, Zion prospereth, all is well—and thus the devil cheateth their souls, and leadeth them away carefully down to hell.

However, for some, satan will tell them that everything is ok. There is no need to be concerned. All is well, even though much seems to be coming apart and there seems to be so much divisiveness. But fear not, all will be well in the end. And because they think they are ok, they are not searching for the gospel and will someday wake up in hell and wonder what happened.

2 Nephi 28:22 And behold, others he flattereth away, and telleth them there is no hell; and he saith unto them: I am no devil, for there is none—and thus he whispereth in their ears, until he grasps them with his awful chains, from whence there is no deliverance.

In addition, satan is so cunning that he can get away with telling people that there is no hell. He will tell people that if there is no devil there is no god. He speaks in his way to folks until they can recognize only his voice and they loss the power to extricate themselves from his influence.

2 Nephi 28:23 Yea, they are grasped with death, and hell; and death, and hell, and the devil, and all that have been seized therewith must stand before the throne of God, and be judged according to their works, from whence they must go into the place prepared for them, even a lake of fire and brimstone, which is endless torment.

All these people will be under satan’s control. At the appropriate time, all people will come to be judged before God as to whether they fell pray to satan’s influence or God’s influence. Those who decided to follow satan can follow him to the reward prepared for him and all who rather be with him. However they will continually remember what they could have had but now are beyond coming back to God.

2 Nephi 28:24 Therefore, wo be unto him that is at ease in Zion!

A warning to those who think that all is ok in their lives. You must be careful and be on the lookout for wickedness coming into your life. It will sneak up on you when you are least expecting it. (I'm sure this verse is talking about church members living in our day as well as non-members living in our day. He is especially after those church members who are comfortable with their lives as they are? Satan is not giving up on trying to influence church members as well.)

2 Nephi 28:25 Wo be unto him that crieth: All is well!

And those who openly proclaim very thing is alright with the world, again a warning is sounded. All is not well and evil is over taking the world.
